Overview
Creating a signable proposal with RoofQuote™ PRO allows roofing professionals to easily generate a detailed contract that homeowners can review and sign digitally. This feature simplifies the contract process, eliminating the need for physical paperwork and reducing delays. This ensures a smooth and efficient agreement process.
Before you can create and send a proposal, a lead must be created either through Rep Quotes or through the RoofQuote™ PRO widget on your website.
Instructions
After a lead has been successfully created, the option "Create Proposal" will become accessible for that specific lead.
Step 1: Click on the Create Proposal option
There are multiple methods to access the "Create Proposal" option:
1. Through the three dots or the "More Actions" button on the far right corner of the lead.
2. Via the Rep Quotes section, you should see the option after searching for the homeowner's address, which is located in the lower middle area of the screen.
3. Lastly, by selecting the "Proposals tab" found within the lead details.
Step 2: Select your Product card
After selecting "Create Proposal," you will be directed to a new page where you can choose a product from your showcase to be part of your proposal. When you are done selecting your product card, click on the "Next" button.
If the homeowner has multiple structures, you can choose to include all of them in the proposal or select specific structures to feature in the proposal.
The proposal will display a quote generated by the system, which takes into account the total square footage, the price per square for that specific product card, and other settings you have configured.
Step 3: Customize your Proposal
Choose your Cover Design, Remove/Show Sections, and Upload Documents.
The proposal feature offers a basic level of customization at this time, as it has recently been introduced. Stay tuned for upcoming enhancements!
There are several things you can do in this section.
- You can rename the document in the "Proposal Name" section, which is located at the top left side of the page, above the Proposal Structure section.
- Toggle the visibility of sections by clicking the eye icon inside each section inside the "Proposal Structure" section.
- Select your preferred cover design from the two available options we provide for you.
- Move your mouse pointer between the sections of your proposal, and an "Add PDF" option will appear. Click on this option to upload PDF documents, such as photos, contracts, or measurement reports, to enhance your proposal. Please ensure that each document does not exceed a maximum size of 10 MB.
When you have completed customizing your proposal, proceed by clicking the "Next" button located in the lower right corner of the screen.
Step 4: Create the Proposal
This last page will give you a preview of what the whole proposal will look like. Once you are all set, hit on that button that says "Create."
Before clicking the "Create" button, double-check that everything is correct and complete. Once you confirm by pressing this button, the proposal will be finalized, and you will not be able to make any further edits. If any changes are necessary afterward, you will need to start the proposal creation process from the beginning.
Step 5: Share/Send the Proposal
You can choose to send a copy of the proposal by selecting the "Standard" option, as illustrated in the image below. This will generate a link that you can either save for your records or send directly to the homeowner for their review.
You can send a signable proposal by selecting the "E-Sign" option as seen in the image below
Once you click "Send," the homeowner will receive an email containing a button labeled "Review and Sign." By clicking this button, they will be redirected to the proposal, where they can easily review and sign the document.
PRO TIP: You can check the status of the proposal to see if it has been sent, viewed, signed, or if it has expired inside the lead details under the "Proposals tab."
That is it! Congratulations! You just created a proposal!
