How to Create a QR code

Create a static or dynamic QR code using a landing page URL and automatically assign the Lead to a user in RoofQuote PRO™

Requirements

RoofQuote PRO™ active subscription

Admin, Sales Rep, or Production user access

Landing page with the RoofQuote PRO™ embedded widget installed

Overview

When a homeowner scans the QR code, they will be redirected to the landing page where the RoofQuote PRO™ widget resides. The lead generated from the RoofQuote PRO™ widget using the QR code will then be assigned to a specific user with the use of a public link.

Static vs Dynamic QR Codes

Static QR Codes cannot be edited once created, are not trackable, and cannot be used for online retargeting but they are very easy to create. Whereas dynamic QR Codes offer you the flexibility to edit your QR Code content as often as required, are trackable, and can let you retarget people online via Facebook Ads and Google Pixel.

Instructions

Step 1: Copy the Landing Page URL where the RoofQuote PRO™ embedded widget resides.

  1. Open the landing page in your browser.
  2. Copy the full URL from the address bar.

Step 2: Get the "Public link" of the user you want the lead to be assigned to for that QR code (OPTIONAL)

You can skip to Step 4 if you don't want to assign the lead to a specific user in RoofQuote PRO™

  1. Sign in to the RoofQuote PRO™ Portal with the user you wish to assign the lead to and go to the "My Profile" page
  2. Copy the user's public link
    public-link

If a user changes their email address, their public link will also change. If a Static QR code was generated before the email address change, you must create a new QR code after the change.

Step 3: Combine the landing page URL and the public link of the user and copy it.

Sample Landing page URL: https://offers.roofle.com/rqp/demo
Sample Public Link: ?rep=demo@roofle.com
The combined landing page URL and public link should look like this sample:

https://offers.roofle.com/rqp/demo?rep=demo@roofle.com

Copy your combined URL.

Step 4: Choose a QR code generator website.

If you wish to proceed with creating a Static QR code, follow the instructions below. However, if you prefer to create a Dynamic QR code, click on Create a Dynamic QR Code to jump to the instructions.
