Overview:
If you have a charge you regularly add on to a job and it's not within our default Additional Costs, you have the option to create custom additional costs. There is no limit on the amount of custom costs you can create.
Instructions:
- To start, login to your portal and go to the Settings tab.
- Choose General from the menu.
- Select the Quotes tab.
- Select Additional Cost from the Feature dropdown menu.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the Additional Cost page. Look for Other Extra Costs.
- Toggle the Other Extra Costs on.
- Create the Question
- It doesn't have to be in question form, but create a question or headline for your custom item
- Select whether the Rep can select multiple options or keep it as single-choice
- An example of using multiple options would be an upgrades list.
- Add your Answer Options
- Set the costs
- Choose the unit metric (fixed, per square, per linear feet, per each, per bundle, per piece, per roll, per carton, per tube, per can, per case, or even set a custom)
- To add more options, click the + icon to the right of the last option.
- To delete an option, click on the trash icon to the right the option you want to delete.
- Once complete, click Save Changes.
HEADS UP! Once your extra cost items have been saved and used in quotes, you will have limited access to changing the details such as options. You may need to create a new question then remove the old one.
Any quotes using the old question will still store the additional costs values last saved for that specific quote. If settings or costs have changed, reps can update the additional costs to match the current settings.
