Understanding User Roles and Permissions

Each user role on the platform comes with its own set of pages, tools, and permissions. Use this guide to understand what Admin, Sales Rep, Production Rep, Manager, and Developer roles can access.

Overview:

Roles control what each user sees and can do inside the portal. The Admin role is the central role with full access — every other role is a scoped-down version of Admin built for a specific job function.

Admin

The Admin role (also referred to as Company Admin or Contractor) has full access to every page, setting, and feature on the platform. This is the only role that can manage billing, configure company-wide email connections, update markets and national coverage, and edit all developer integrations.

Main menu access:

  • Admin Dashboard
  • Dashboard
  • Rep Quotes
  • Calculator
  • Financing (includes ContractorLoan PRO if using)
  • Proposals
  • Settings
  • Orders
  • Analytics

Settings access:

  • General
  • Markets
  • Products
  • Emails
  • Developer
  • Profile

NOTE: Admin is the only role with access to Billing, Email SettingsUpdate Markets, and Snippets.

Manager

The Manager role is closest to Admin in scope and is built for users who need broad operational visibility without touching company-level configuration like billing, email infrastructure, or market coverage.

Main menu access:

  • Dashboard
  • Rep Quotes
  • Calculator
  • Financing (includes ContractorLoan PRO if using)
  • Proposals
  • Orders
  • Analytics

Settings access:

  • General (Quotes and Automations are read-only)
  • Markets (My Markets, Service Area)
  • Products
  • Profile (includes Company Profile)

NOTE: Compared to Admin, Managers cannot access Billing, Snippets, Widget settings, Financing settings, Email settings, Update Markets, or any Developer pages. Quotes and Automations are visible but read-only.

Sales Rep

The Sales Rep role is designed for users focused on quoting and closing — it strips out company-wide management tools and gives reps the pages they need to work leads and send proposals.

Main menu access:

  • Dashboard (RQP Leads only)
  • Rep Quotes
  • Calculator
  • Financing (includes ContractorLoan PRO if using)
  • Proposals (My Proposal only)
  • Orders (My Orders only)

Settings access:

  • Profile (My Profile only)

NOTE: Sales Reps do not have access to Other Contacts, Address Only, Imported Contacts, Contract Terms, Basic Proposals, Branches, Formulas, Analytics, or any Settings pages outside of their own Profile.

Production Rep

The Production Rep role is built for users managing the production side — fulfilling jobs after the sale. It includes tools the Sales Rep doesn't get (Branches, Formulas, Contract Terms) and limited Settings access for catalog and quote configuration.

Main menu access:

  • Dashboard (RQP Leads only)
  • Rep Quotes
  • Calculator
  • Financing (includes ContractorLoan PRO if using)
  • Proposals (My Proposals & Contract Terms)
  • Orders (My Orders, Branches, Formulas)

Settings access:

  • General (Quotes and Automations are read-only)
  • Markets (My Markets, Service Area)
  • Products
  • Profile (My Profile only)

NOTE: Compared to a Manager, Production Reps do not have access to Other Contacts, Address Only, Imported Contacts, Basic Proposals, Analytics, or Company Profile.

Developer

The Developer role is a narrow, technical role intended for users building integrations, embedding the widget, or working with the public API. It bypasses sales and production pages entirely.

Main menu access:

  • None (no Dashboard, Leads, Quotes, Proposals, or Orders)

Settings access:

  • General (Widget only)
  • Financing
  • Developer
  • Profile (My Profile only)

NOTE: Developers are the only non-Admin role with access to the Widget, Financing settings, and the full Developer section (Integrations, Tool Scripts, Webhooks, Public API).
