Set up formulas to calculate material order product quantities automatically using EagleView Premium Reports, GAF QuickMeasures, or manually entered measurements
Requirements
Roof Quote PRO™ active subscription with admin or production access
A connected Beacon Pro+ account with at least one branch and template for roofing orders
Before getting started make sure you've Connected Your Beacon Account and associated markets with branches.
Orders can still be placed without formulas set up, but quantities need to be entered manually. That is why we strongly recommend investing in the time setting up formulas.
Overview
Set up formulas to make material ordering a breeze. Formulas are built using Measurement inputs, math operators (x / + -), numbers and parentheses. Formulas are used to calculate quantities of products they are associated with using measurement data from EagleView, GAF QuickMeasure, or other sources.

Log in to your portal
Navigate to the Orders tab and go to the Formulas section
Use the Formula Guide to see examples for common roof system components
Click Add Formula to build a new formula
Step 1 - Give your formula a name
Step 2 - Associate your formula to products from your Beacon Pro+ templates
Choose the branch, then template, then check the item you want this formula to apply to
You can associate multiple items to the same formula
Step 3 - Build your formula
Use the Formula Guide for examples of common formulas
Use parenthesis ( ) for order of operations
Use measurement inputs like Total Roof Area, Ridges, Hips, etc. see full list
Step 4 - Test your formula and SAVE
Test to see if your formula will produce the expected quantities for the associated products
Finally, Save your formula
Associating Formulas To Your Templates' Products
Associate formulas to each item in your Beacon Pro+ templates to automatically generate all quantities when ordering materials
To see your template(s) details and check which products have a formula, go to the Branches tab and click a template
You can edit and associate formulas from the formula list
On the Formulas tab, click the three dots to the right of any formula and select Associate Formula to edit associated products
Associate template products to formulas just like during the formula creation process above
